Disney Characters On OpenAI

Disney just made its position in the AI copyright war clear.

On one side, it issued legal threats against Google for allegedly training AI on Disney IP without authorization. On the other, it signed a multi year partnership with OpenAI, including a reported $1B investment and access to tools like Sora.

With OpenAI, Disney gets guardrails, selective use of characters, and influence over how fans generate short form content. OpenAI gets legitimacy, capital, and access to one of the most valuable IP libraries in entertainment.

The risk is brand dilution. Critics warn that even limited AI use could flood the internet with low quality Disney adjacent content and trigger years of legal cleanup.

Despite the risk, AI in Hollywood is moving forward. The real question is who gets invited inside the IP vault, and who gets sued outside of it.

iShowSpeed Collabs with Beats by Dre Collab

Apple is finally expanding that playbook to the creator economy, tapping one of the biggest streamers in the world, IShowSpeed, as the face of a new campaign.

Beats sees streamers as the cultural equivalents of athletes for younger audiences, with always on access, obsessive fandom, and massive influence across platforms.

The campaign debuted live during one of Speed’s streams, blending cinematic production with native creator energy. It was designed to feel less like an ad and more like an extension of his world.

Creators are no longer adjacent to culture. They are the culture. And major brands like Beats are restructuring long term partnerships around that reality.

The NBA Creator Cup

While most leagues tightly guarded highlights and access, the NBA went creator first as early as 2016, building formal programs and opening its content vault to digital creators.

That decision helped fuel global fandom, meme culture, and entire online ecosystems like NBATwitter.

Today, hundreds of creators receive access to footage, tools, and even live league events.

Creators are not just covering the league. They are part of the product, competing on the court, live streaming media days, and shaping how fans experience the sport.

As more athletes move into streaming and podcasting, the league is positioned to support them inside an ecosystem it has spent years intentionally building.

Exclusive Interview with Steven He

I sat down with Steven He to break down how he scaled to 100M+ monthly viewers and built the creator systems behind viral hits like “Emotional Damage.”

Steven walks through the optimization frameworks, retention analysis, and content systems he used to evolve from a struggling actor into one of YouTube’s most engineered creators.

This episode is a deep dive into trial, iteration, and systemized creativity, including the 220+ failed videos that ultimately led to his breakthrough.
