TikTok shop is taking the world by storm, and despite the shopping experience in the app looking like a crazed Temu fever dream, the opportunities for creators who lean in are massive. Here are just a few of the brands TikTok has lined up for expansion via their new Shopping experience - Too Faced, Dove, Dermalogica, L’Oreal, NYX, Murad, Crocs, Gatorade, Frito-Lay, Blue Bottle, and Philips!

TikTok has a major incentive to make TikTok Shop a hit for top advertisers, which means heavy distribution for their partners' TikTok Shop content. In fact, TikTok Shop's gross merchandise value grew by 480% in the US in Q4 2023 alone!

TikTok Launches Symphony Assistant (basically ChatGPT for TikTok Creators).

Creators are getting fired up over a new tool from TikTok that if you’re a TikTok creator just became your new best friend. Technically an extension of its ads product, but accessible to anyone, Symphony Assistant is a chatGPT like interface for providing creative analysis reports, providing insights on going viral, brainstorming ideas based on your content, and script writing. Here’s a snippet of the response it gave me to the most boring prompt ever “What is Symphony Assistant?” Check it out here.
