Creatorland Platform Updates

It’s been a BUSY couple weeks over here and our dev and product team deserves a major shoutout. Nice work crew! Now, let’s get into what’s new.

Group Chat is Live in the Creatorland Inbox!

What’s the Creatorland Inbox?

For brands, agencies, & talent managers a central trusted (free) recruiting solution for the creator economy.

For Creators, a place to network, negotiate, and unlock new opportunities with everyone looking to hire creators in the wide world of creativity and producing content.

💬💬 Introducing group chats! You can now real-time chat, send files, links and images to as many connections as you’d like on Creatorland! Brand and agency team members, forget about managing 25 different email threads while executing your creator UGC campaigns. Our group inbox is perfect for running campaigns with multiple creators, or building private channels of your creator roster.

🔎 Search is days away! Search has been a much needed feature at Creatorland since we launched our beta in late May. Search will launch this week starting with the ability to search by name, Creatorland username and usernames on YouTube, Instagram & TikTok!

🖼️ Cover Images! We’ve beefed up the user profiles with a gorgeous cover image to help you show off your creative style and further customize the look of your profile page.

💼 TITLES coming this week! This was highly requested by our community. This week, you’ll be able to add a title like “VP Marketing of insert cool company name here” or “Top 10% YouTube Account for Parenting.” This makes it much easier to know who’s reaching out to connect, and how they might benefit your professional network.

Brand/Agency <> Creator Matching Program

I haven’t met a team member that worked on influencer marketing or creator marketing yet that enjoyed the search and recruiting process. It’s time consuming, expensive, inefficient, and all-together soul sucking. You have to send 500 emails to generate interest from 50 creators, and creators and their managers have to suffer through hundreds of emails every day that may or may not be interesting to them.

If you’re a brand or agency looking to build relationships with creators who are might be a great fit for an initiative you’re running or planning on running and would like us to help you source creators for those initiatives, then you’re in luck!

Apply through the link below, and we’ll reach out. Note this is just for organizations.

The Latest from The Creator Economy

Did you get some sick deals on Prime Day?

Login or Subscribe to participate in polls.

  • Bezos- likely in a good mood
Amazon achieved record-breaking sales during its annual Prime Day event, with U.S. shoppers spending a staggering $12.7 billion across the two-day sales extravaganza. This year's event marked the "biggest Prime Day ever," as customers purchased over 375 million items, resulting in a year-over-year growth of 6.1% and setting a new sales record for the company.

  • Are you confused about who the heck “Grimace” is? We’ve got you.
According to a McDonald's manager, Grimace is an enormous taste bud whose purpose is to show that the food tastes good. According to everyone else…is anyone sure?

  • FDA is investigating Logan Paul’s energy drink, PRIME

PRIME, the influencer-backed energy drink popular among children, is facing scrutiny for its high caffeine content (the equivalent of 6 cabs of coca-cola.) Lawmakers and health experts are concerned about potential health risks and misleading marketing, prompting calls for an investigation by the FDA.

  • Eras tour is raking in the cash & effecting the economy

Taylor Swift's Eras tour is raking in an estimated $1.4 billion and potentially becoming the highest-grossing tour ever. The economic boom Taylor has created in the cities where she tours has countries all over the world vying for her attention.

  • John Green’s latest move for humanity

Author and education creator John Green called on his online community to pressure Johnson & Johnson into making tuberculosis medication more accessible. With tweets, memes, and the trending hashtag #PatientsNotPatents, the campaign gained traction, leading J&J to cave in just two days.

#1: Payment & payment timeline
It’s crucial to include the details of what and WHEN you’re getting paid. Ever had a brand forget to pay you for months and months? Well, by including a timeline and penalty for late payments within your contracts, you can protect yourself from unclear payment expectations.

#2: Content revisions
You should not be doing 5 rounds of content revisions for free. To protect yourself from over-working a brand deal, include the amount of revisions that are included in your price and add an additional cost for additional revisions.

#3: Content ownership
It’s crucial to be clear on ownership rights in your contract. Is the brand permitted to use your content in paid ads, organic use, or something else? Be clear on who owns the content and what it can be used for.
