X Launches Creator Connect

Your next brand deal might be chosen by an algorithm before you even pitch.
X just launched Creator Connect, an AI system that matches brands with creators in real time based on audience behavior, engagement trends, and campaign history. No outreach. No negotiation. Just a match.
Brands are under pressure to prove ROI on every dollar. Influencer discovery has always been slow, expensive, and gut-driven. Creator Connect automates the most painful part of that process.
When an algorithm decides who gets the deal, the creators who win are the ones who are optimized…not necessarily the ones who are best.
For smaller creators, this could open doors. AI doesn't have the same biases as a human brand manager scrolling through profiles. But it also doesn't understand nuance, community, or voice.
X is competing directly with Meta, TikTok, and YouTube for creator ad spend. Creator Connect is their bid to own the matchmaking layer.
What this means for digital creators
Discoverability is changing. Your metrics are now your pitch deck. Clean data matters more than a great media kit.
Volume gets rewarded. Algorithms favor consistency. Posting cadence and engagement signals will influence who surfaces.
Relationships still close deals. AI can make the intro, but trust is still built by humans.
Meta's Advance Tools for Creators

Meta isn’t just competing for attention anymore. It’s building the tools that create the attention. And it’s starting to show.
Nearly 10% of all Reels are now made using Meta’s own editing app, a number that has almost tripled in a single quarter. At the same time, daily users creating content with Meta AI have surged 3x year-over-year. That’s not a feature update. That’s a behavior shift.
Meta’s “Edits” app, now about a year in, is quietly turning into a full creator stack. Built-in teleprompters, AI-assisted ideation, smoother editing workflows, and constant iteration based on creator feedback. The goal is obvious. Remove as much friction as possible between idea and upload.
Because when creators make more content, platforms win twice. More posts lead to more time spent, which leads to more revenue.
That flywheel is already showing up in the numbers. Meta is guiding for up to $56.5 billion in Q1 revenue, with estimates pointing to roughly 31% year-over-year growth.
YouTube Bets Big on Media
A new MoffettNathanson report found YouTube generated $62 billion in revenue last year, edging past Disney's $60.9 billion to become the world's largest media company. Its estimated valuation sits between $500 and $560 billion. Netflix is at $417 billion, for context.
Take traditional studios out of the equation, and the gap only gets wider.
YouTube didn't build a studio system. It built infrastructure and let creators fill it. No greenlight process, no development deals, no gatekeepers. You upload, the algorithm decides, the audience scales you.
That shift matters. Because it turns content creation from a career path into an ownership model.
Now companies like Fox Entertainment are launching Creator Studios divisions. The Hormozis are putting eight figures into ACQ Media. Dude Perfect and Audiochuck are hiring entertainment executives and building film and TV arms.
The bigger takeaway isn't about one platform. It's about where power lives.
Whoever owns the audience owns the media business. Right now, that's YouTube.
